F.A.Q.

How will my guitar be shipped?

We use Registered Australia Post for a number of reasons. Firstly, we can get a guitar lodged and sent at any time during business hours, without waiting on couriers. Also, clients are usually familiar with the schedules of their local post office, and can easily be prepared for a delivery. Registered post must also be signed for before a consignment leaves the hands of the delivery person. We’ve tried couriers in the past with some less than optimal results (guitars being left on doorsteps or delivered to completely wrong addresses). It’s these key points that make Australia Post our carrier of choice. Contrary to popular belief, we find Australia Post to be extremely reliable. AustPost is also fast, with guitars arriving usually within three days.

Will my guitar be packed sufficiently?

Yes. All guitars leaving LonesomeTrain are packed in bubble-wrap, then sealed in cardboard cartons. Any gaps within the box are filled with either bubble wrap or foam ‘popcorn’ (or both). Boxes are clearly marked ‘fragile’. We’ve never had an instrument arrive damaged.

Can I pay with PayPal?

Of course you can. But to be honest, we prefer direct back deposit. Why? Because PayPal charge a motza in fees. If you’re needing to use PayPal, we can’t cut you any slack on the price of your guitar or shipping. Hey, we’re nice guys. We like to help out on price whenever possible.

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes you can, via PayPal. But be aware we’ll have no room to help you on price or shipping charges. You’ll need to have your credit card registered with your PayPal account, and choose your credit card as the payment method when processing the transaction. But again, see the ‘Can I pay with PayPal’ question and answer above.
